Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process is provided by the College to minimise time and cost to students who can provide evidence of competencies currently held for a given subject/course.

All applications for RPL will be considered on an individual basis by the Academic Board who meet fortnightly during the academic year.

Applications for RPL may only be made on the RPL Application Form provided by ACM. The application must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of $350. All sections must be completed and relevant documentation supporting this application must be attached. No claims for recognition will be considered unless supported with relevant documentation such as course outlines, subject descriptions, certificates, academic transcripts and/or industry experience. Certificates, qualifications and academic transcripts must be an original certified photocopy, do not send originals. View the RPL application form below for persons eligible to certify documents.

The assessment will be based on formal training in a university course or training in a similar course at a similar college/institution and/or evidence of relevant industry experience. Refer to the subject guide online or in the course guide for each subject content summary. This overview can guide you through the application process in matching your previous study against the current Certificate IV and Diploma course content.

Once the RPL process has been completed you will receive confirmation via email within 4 weeks of submitting your application.

Summary of steps to apply for RPL:

Step 1: Download the RPL form below and collate relevant documentation including certified photocopies of any certificates, qualifications and academic transcripts. Do not send originals as documents are not returned.

Step 2: Refer to the subject guide online and in the course guide for a summary of each subject. This will guide you in selecting which subjects to apply for by comparing your previous study against the current Certificate IV and Diploma course content.

Email: acm@studymassage.com.au
