However you choose to apply your massage training, our approach supports learning which is relevant, cutting edge and enjoyable.
Evolve College has created top quality courses run by leading massage educators which support you to connect with all the possibilities that massage brings and apply it how you choose to, in clinic or on friends/family.
You have two study options to choose from. You can study on-campus (classroom learning) or by correspondence (home study learning).
You will receive an identical qualification certificate at the end of your training irrespective of the option you choose.
Both on-campus and correspondence options are exactly the same in qualification received.
Your decision as to whether to study by correspondence or on-campus will be based on your own needs and preferences, as well as your individual circumstances. We can discuss this with you if you would like support: call us on 1300 880 885 (Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:00pm AEST/ADST) or email us at email@example.com. If you intend to study the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage, you should also see the section at the bottom of this page which gives further details on private health funds.
Studying on-campus enables you to attend classes for all the practical components of the course.
When studying on-campus you are provided with a class timetable listing the dates when your attendance is required (at the training centre you choose to book into). Evolve College has the largest number of training centres of any massage college in Australia.
Studying by correspondence enables you to study at your own pace and you are not governed by a fixed timetable.
Although correspondence study is self-paced, you still must keep up with our minimum progress requirements which are detailed in our Student Handbook. Correspondence study, because it is self-directed, requires a commitment to get going with your study without face to face classroom teaching and direction. So, before enrolling in correspondence, you need to know that you are committed to doing your study in a self-directed fashion, calling on us for support whenever you need to. This requires a commitment on your behalf and an ability to organise and apply yourself without the structure of a classroom timetable. Please note that we provide support to our correspondence students both educationally and administratively whenever they need it (in office hours).
When studying by correspondence, you will be required to attend on-campus to complete Subject 8 (Massage Practice 1) where you will undergo practical assessments and participate in a supervised clinic.
Private Health Fund Rebates
Private health fund rebates are rebates that a therapist may offer to their clients who are members of a particular private health insurance fund, if the therapist is registered as an ‘approved provider’ of that fund.
Private health fund rebates are generally not available to be offered by graduates of the HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy. Graduates of the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage may become approved providers if they meet the requirements of the private health insurers in that regard, as explained below.
Private health fund approved provider status is available to on-campus graduates of the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage, who study the practical components of subjects 1-16 on-campus. Most private health funds have stipulated that approved provider status is not available to correspondence students. Medibank Private requires on-campus study of the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage over a minimum of 12 months excluding the HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy. Read more on our private health funds pages in our Student Handbook, or contact us for more details.
